Nottingham Forest could now be forced to sell their five best players – sources
Nottingham Forest could sell their five best players this summer if they are relegated or forced to sanction sales due to FFP demands, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that Morgan Gibbs-White, Murillo, Anthony Elanga, Taiwo Awoniyi and Danilo could be sacrificed amid an uncertain future at the City Ground.
Gibbs-White and Murillo are considered prized assets at the club following their exceptional performances since their moves to the club in the summer of 2022 and 2023 respectively.
Well-placed sources have also told Football Insider that Elanga is being admired after a prolific first season away from Premier League giants Man United.

Additionally, Awoniyi and Danilo are both considered valuable assets and are expected to be coveted by clubs should Forest be under pressure to sell.
The Reds were hit with a devastating four-point deduction on Monday (18 March) which saw them plunge below Luton Town into 18th place, putting their Premier League future under major threat.
Forest faced the punishment after an independent commission found they breached their allowed losses threshold of £61million by £34.5million, but sources have told Football Insider (21 March) that they are “highly unlikely” to rebut the charge.
With just 21 points, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have just nine games to avoid the drop.

Forest last drew 1-1 to fellow relegation battlers Luton Town on Saturday (16 March) after conceding an 89th-minute equaliser at Kenilworth Road.
After the international break, they will welcome Crystal Palace to the City Ground on 30 March.
