Nottingham Forest could now accept £40m Morgan Gibbs-White bid – sources
Nottingham Forest will set a price tag of £40million for Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Forest will view £40m as a “reasonable” price for the 24-year-old.
Forest are on the brink of their allowable losses under Profit and Sustainability Rules and are expected to make sales to raise funds this summer to avoid a future breach.
They were deducted four points in the 2023-24 after breaching the financial rules by £34.5million in their 2022-23 accounts.
As revealed by Football Insider, Gibbs-White is attracting strong interest from Tottenham, who have held discussions over a transfer move.

The English midfielder was a standout performer for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season with six goals and 10 assists across all competitions.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, O’Rourke said: “I think for Morgan Gibbs-White, Forest will be looking at £40million-plus.

“They have both had good seasons and enhanced their reputations – that’s what they’ve done at Nottingham Forest.
“So, I think in the going market you’re looking at £40million-plus as a reasonable fee for Gibbs-White.“
