Nottingham Forest could submit Harry Winks bid after £20m Tottenham reveal – expert
Alex McLeish has suggested Nottingham Forest could make a move to sign Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks this summer.
However, the former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted Spurs’ demands could price the 26-year-old’s suitors out of the hunt.
As revealed by Football Insider on Monday (30 May), Spurs are willing to listen to offers for Winks this summer and are looking for a fee in the region of £20million.

The midfielder’s contract in north London runs until the summer of 2024.
McLeish suggested newly-promoted sides like Forest would be keen on signing Winks for his Premier League experience.
However, he insisted the £20million price tag could prove prohibitive for most clubs.
“There will only be a certain club who will pay that sort of money,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“It’s possible that teams who have come from the Championship, Nottingham Forest might look at Harry Winks or someone like that.
“He’s certainly got the good experience for some of the teams at a lower level than Tottenham.
“But £20million seems quite high, especially for a guy who’s been out the team for almost the entire season.”
Winks played 30 times for Tottenham across all competitions during the 2021/22 campaign.
However, only 17 of those appearances came as starts, just nine of which were in the Premier League.

The England international featured 24 times under Antonio Conte following the Italian’s arrival in north London.
Forest secured promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs, with Fulham and Bournemouth the other two sides coming up from the Championship.
