Nottingham Forest fans all say the same thing as Murillo clip re-analysed

Nottingham Forest fans jumped to the defence of Murillo after their star defender conceded a penalty in their 1-0 defeat to Fulham on Saturday (September 28).

The 22-year-old gave away the spot kick in the 51st minute, allowing veteran striker Raul Jimenez to expertly score and secure the win for the visitors.

VAR intervened after the Brazilian seemingly stepped on Andreas Pereira’s foot and referee Joshua Smith awarded the penalty after going to look at the monitor.

Forest players were waved away by Smith after a similar incident in the second half, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo animated on the touchline when the spot kick wasn’t awarded.

Jimenez’s goal has ended Forest’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season but they remain in the top-half with two wins and three draws under their belt.

Murillo has had a fine start to the season, completing five successful dribbles and creating three chances as a ball-playing centre-back.

His impressive start to the campaign has earned him a good amount of goodwill from Forest fans, who expressed their sympathies with the defender.
