Nottingham Forest fans explode at ‘arrogant’ Arne Slot after what he said
Nottingham Forest fans have been left raging at Liverpool boss Arne Slot after his comments in the aftermath of his side’s defeat at Anfield.
Nuno Espirito Santo led his side to a surprise 1-0 win away from home thanks to a goal from Callum Hudson-Odoi which secured all three points.
It was a hard-fought victory for the visitors after a resilient defensive performance which laid the foundation for an excellent win at a difficult stadium.
However, the Liverpool boss was far from gracious with his post-match comments, insisting: “It is a big setback. Normally this team is not ending in the top ten, so if you lose against them it’s a big disappointment.”
Downplaying Forest’s achievement, while severely underestimating his opponents, has left fans raging at the Dutchman and his attitude towards the defeat.
With two wins and two draws in their opening four games, Forest sit just one point behind Slot’s side, who have won three and lost one of their fixtures.

The blatant disrespect and disregard for the level of their opposition has come as a surprise from the new Liverpool boss, and may not serve him well in terms of winning favour with his rivals.
One of the highlights of the Premier League is the possibility for anybody to beat anybody, regardless of their place in the league or in the apparent footballing hierarchy.
As a result, Forest supporters have taken to social media to hit out at Slot, labelling him “arrogant”, “incredulous” and “outrageous”.
