Nottingham Forest fans say same thing about Murillo transfer after ‘record offer’
Nottingham Forest fans are all delighted with their club after reportedly rejecting a January transfer window move for Murillo.
Chelsea were targeting the Brazil international early in the January transfer window but City Ground owner Evangelo Marinakis refused to consider what would have been a record sale for Forest.
The 22-year-old has played a key role in Forest’s sensational season which has led the club into the top four at this stage in the campaign.
However, the central defender has been receiving interest from several top Premier League sides.
According to The Telegraph, the prospect of a move for Murillo to Chelsea was swiftly shut down after an initial inquiry and the player has since signed a lucrative new contract.
Nottingham Forest want Murillo to remain at the club
Forest fans are pleased with the club for taking a stance and maintaining their players, with some claiming that teams have to “keep your best” in order to win trophies.
