Nottingham Forest fans tear into ‘absolute garbage’ player with 68% pass completion vs Bournemouth

Nottingham Forest were completely outplayed by Bournemouth as they lost 2-0 with fans upset over some of their players’ performances.

Following Nottingham Forest’s victory over Porto in the Europa League on 23 October, Sean Dyche was given a reality check as they were defeated on the south coast.

The Cherries looked composed and dictated proceedings as the Garibaldi failed to offer much going forward to trouble the defence.

Frustrated with the club reverting to this season’s norm once again, fans ripped into one of their key players on a miserable away day afternoon.

Morgan Gibbs-White off colour as Nottingham Forest fans annoyed by his display

Former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Morgan Gibbs-White is one of the reasons for Nottingham Forest’s woes this season.

That trend continued with the England international merely a by-stander in the bitter defeat to Bournemouth.

One fan said: “I’m so tired of watching Gibbs-White, toothless in attack.” with another stating: “I never want to see Gibbs-White wearing that shirt ever again.”

The 25-year-old continued to be berated by Forest supporters as another added: “I cannot stand Gibbs-White at the moment.” as a fellow fan also said: “Gibbs-White shouldn’t have been on the pitch from the start.”

Gibbs-White stats make for grim reading as fans justified in anger

The England international backed up the Garibaldi faithful’s frustrations in his miserable statistics on a cold day on the south coast.

As demonstrated by his pass map, courtesy of Football Insider’s data partnership with Opta, the number 10 skewed several of his passes, only managing a 68 per cent accuracy rate.

Moreover, Gibbs-White lost possession on 11 occasions as the visitors struggled to mount any attacks with real purpose.

On top of this, the former Wolves man was dribbled past once and gave the ball away which led to a Bournemouth shot, putting his side under pressure during the game.

With just one goal and three assist in all competitions this season, the 25-year-old is looking unlikely to find a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the World Cup.
