Nottingham Forest fans thrilled by ‘new signing’ after shock Murillo twist

Nottingham Forest fans have been left divided by Murillo’s recent comments after he committed to another season at the club.

The Brazilian defender admitted that Forest is the right place for him to be playing football right now, but he also claimed he dreams of playing Champions League football.

The 22-year-old was the subject of major transfer speculation earlier in the transfer window, with Football Insider revealing that Tottenham were monitoring him.

Liverpool and Man United were also interested in circling around the Nottingham star, but the club managed to fend them off.

He is now expected to remain at the City Ground for the forthcoming season, which is a boost to Nottingham’s defensive options.

Murillo joined the Premier League club in 2023 and proved to be a vital member of the squad in his debut season.

He played 36 games for the club in all competitions, providing two assists.

Nottingham fans have been left with mixed feelings following his recent comments, with many pleased that he is sticking around.

Even though it might only be for one more season, many supporters see the benefit of keeping him at the club.
