‘Nottingham Forest get extra £30m+ after new reveal’
Nottingham Forest have banked a significant payout following their strong season in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were well placed to qualify for the Champions League throughout much of the campaign before suffering a dip in form towards the end of the season.
They finished seventh in the top-flight table, just one point behind fifth-place Newcastle United, with five Champions League places on offer this season.
Forest will still be playing European football next season for the first time since the 1995/96 campaign, where they were knocked out of the Uefa Cup in the quarter-finals by Bayern Munich.
The Premier League side will compete in the Conference League – a competition West Ham won in 2023 and Chelsea have reached the final of this season.
Chelsea will land more than £20million in prize money if they manage to beat Real Betis and lift the Conference League trophy on Wednesday (28 May).
Forest’s remarkable turnaround in fortunes comes after they finished 16th and 17th in the previous two campaigns since securing their long-awaited return to the Premier League in 2022.

Nottingham Forest land £150m+ payout
Premier League football comes with significant financial benefits, with increased prize money and broadcast revenue.
Forest banked £123.3million in prize money and facility fees from the Premier League in 2023-24, where Nuno guided the club to safety after replacing Steve Cooper at the City Ground midway through the campaign.
They featured 19 times on live TV across the season, while Arsenal appeared on TV on 31 occasions – the most in the top flight.
Forest’s excellent campaign saw them make 22 appearances on TV this season, increasing their share of the facility fees.
The Athletic reported on 27 May the Midlands side have banked £157.5million in prize money this season, handing them a £34.2million increase on their earnings for the 2023-24 campaign.
Liverpool are expected to have topped the list with around £181.5million after claiming the Premier League title.
Nottingham Forest to smash club record
There is little doubt Nuno’s side will smash their record revenue again this season following their turnaround on the pitch.
Forest posted a record-breaking revenue for 2023-24 after their turnover increased from £155million to £190million.
The club also recorded a profit on players of around £100million, leading to a £10million pre-tax profit, having made a £69million loss in 2022-23.
The financial situation at the City Ground is currently much healthier than just a couple of years ago after Forest were handed a four-point deduction midway through the 2023-24 campaign for breaching the profit and sustainability rules (PSR).
