Nottingham Forest in negotiations to sign Kasen Brown, he’s already due to leave Man City

Nottingham Forest are among the clubs in negotiations with Man City talent Kasen Brown ahead of a summer move.

The defender is an England youth international and will be the subject of interest from several clubs in the coming months.

It has been a week of change at the City Ground, after Nottingham Forest sacked Sean Dyche following Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Wolves.

Vitor Pereira is expected to take over at Nottingham Forest following the Englishman’s departure, with the threat of relegation not yet averted.

At the youth level, however, the strategy will remain unchanged as decision-makers attempt to continue to bolster the ranks of talent.

Man United among teams to challenge Nottingham Forest

Just 15, Brown has impressed massively at Man City and is considered among the most exciting Under-16 left-backs in England.

The defender received his first call-up for England U16s this week, and is expected to have a pick of clubs to choose from in the summer.

According to The Talent Hunter, Brown will leave Man City at the end of the season, and he has already held talks with Man United, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Several other Premier League clubs are monitoring the left-back ahead of a potential summer move.

Brown’s departure will be the latest example of the rush for players at the academy level sweeping through the Premier League.

Battles are taking place frequently at the youth level, with top-flight decision-makers keen to find the next big talents.

Nottingham Forest continue youth drive

Kalum Thompson and Gabriel Schluter are just two of the youngsters to join up with Nottingham Forest’s U18 squad this season.

Like many clubs, decision-makers at the City Ground are attempting to compete at the youth level for the players who may well become unattainable at the senior level.

Brown could be one of those, and Nottingham Forest would undoubtedly be pulling off a coup if they were to beat the competition to his signature.

Youngster Zach Abbott has made his breakthrough this season, appearing in several Europa League matches and two Premier League games, and it is hoped that many will follow him.
