Nottingham Forest are set for a busy transfer window as they look to ensure that their thrilling 2024-25 campaign is more than just a one-off.

Forest have been the surprise package of the Premier League campaign this season and currently sit third in the table as they aim to secure Champions League football.

The likes of Chris Wood, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Elliot Anderson have all thrived under Nuno Espirito Santo, turning the team from relegation fodder to a serious threat.

Many of their players are currently being linked with moves to ‘bigger’ Premier League clubs, with Football Insider revealing that Chelsea want to sign Murillo.

However, Football Insider also reported that Forest are set to do “everything they can” in a bid to hold onto their best players for next season.

In fact, the club are looking to reinvest the money they have earned from this season back into the team to ensure they remain at that level.

Nottingham have their eyes set on an ex-Premier League star

According to TuttoSport, Forest are going to revive their interest in Juventus’ Douglas Luiz during the summer transfer window.

The Premier League side had failed with a bid for the 26-year-old during the January transfer window, but they remain interested in the former Man City and Aston Villa midfielder.

City had expressed interest in re-signing Luiz in January as a potential stopgap option due to the injuries they have suffered, but that never took place.

Forest fans are excited about the possibility of signing Luiz and the fact the club are looking to make big statement signings.

Supporters believe that Nuno is being “ambitious” and that this signing “will be a good one” if they’re able to pull it off.
