Nottingham Forest to be tested with Murillo bids – pundit

Nottingham Forest will be tested this summer as bids are likely to arrive for Murillo after his “outstanding” performances at the City Ground.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Paul Robinson insisted that Murillo will be “the one” out of the players Forest must brace for interest in.

Robinson went on to explain that Forest would have to recruit well if they were to let the Brazilian centre-back leave in the upcoming window.

Murillo, 21, has made 31 appearances for Forest since arriving last summer.

Football Insider revealed on 12 May that interest in the defender is growing as Forest may have to sell at least one player in an effort to balance the books.

Nottingham Forest warned to brace for Murillo interest

Murillo arrived at the City Ground last summer for an £11million transfer fee and quickly became one of the most impressive players in the squad.

Robinson has been stunned by his performances and told Forest they will need to sign a strong replacement should he leave in the coming months.

Murillo is the one. I think he’s been outstanding,” he told Football Insider.

You look at his age, I didn’t realise he was so young with such little experience.

You look at what he’s done and what he’s achieved since coming into that Forest side which has struggled this season.

They’re going to get tested with bids for him. He’s been excellent.

If they’re going to let these players go, they’re going to have to recruit similar types of players.”
