Nuno Espirito Santo has no way to save his job at West Ham amid scandalous half-time reveal after Wolves loss
Nuno Espirito Santo’s position at West Ham is surely untenable after a damning dressing room reveal from their 3-0 defeat away at Wolves on Saturday.
The Hammers were dismantled by the Premier League’s bottom club, as they missed a huge opportunity to close the gap to Nottingham Forest after they were beaten at Aston Villa in the early kick-off.
West Ham fans have totally lost patience with Nuno after the continuous awful form, and relegation is becoming a bigger fear at the London Stadium with every passing game.
David Sullivan and Co. have seemed keen to give the Portuguese the opportunity to turn the team’s fortunes around, but this simply has to represent the final straw for his tenure.

Dressing room reveal suggests Nuno Espirito Santo has given up
West Ham’s defeat to Wolves is followed by a home clash against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night, a game which the capital club simply cannot afford to lose if they want to survive.
However, if they are to avoid defeat against Sean Dyche’s men in midweek, then they will have to show significantly more fight than they did at Molineux on Saturday, in what was a truly sorry display.
Goals from Jhon Arias, Hwang Hee-Chan and Mateus Mane had the hosts 3-0 up before the half-time interval, and the visitors also showed few signs of life after the break.
That is likely due to the actions of Nuno, who is understood to have “said little to rouse his players” during the break on Saturday, according to The Guardian.
The fact that the 51-year-old couldn’t muster anything to say to lift his dressing room is simply scandalous, and suggests that he has effectively given up hope of helping them out of their current plight.

That should act as a clear warning sign to the West Ham hierarchy that Nuno feels there is little more that he can do to improve the team’s fortunes, and after that admission of defeat, the only option is to make another change in the dugout.
Slaven Bilic is the best short-term option for West Ham
Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness has told Football Insider that Kieran McKenna would reject West Ham if they were to make an approach for him, and that is an issue that the Hammers will have with several desirable candidates to take over.
The likes of McKenna and Frank Lampard, who are both excelling in the Championship, have little to gain from potentially risking a Premier League relegation on their CV when they could earn promotion in a few months anyway.
With that in mind, former Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is surely the best option to replace Nuno on a short-term deal.
The Croatian would set the club firmly into survival mode, and he may just be able to galvanise the troops enough to help them push their way to safety.
Bilic would surely jump at the chance to help lift his former club from its current struggles, and if he could secure their Premier League status once again, then it would open the door to pursue more long-term candidates in the summer.
