Nuno Espirito Santo surprise emerges in West Ham vs Nottingham Forest amid sack calls
West Ham’s hierarchy are facing serious questions over the future of Nuno Espirito Santo, and those voices have been tipped to grow.
Sitting 18th in the Premier League table, West Ham fell to an embarrassing defeat to Wolves last time out, with the Hammers absolutely desperate for their first win in 10 league matches.
Of course, Nottingham Forest lost to Aston Villa to leave them in a similar position to their opponents on Tuesday, 6 January, but it became clear very quickly how seriously the Hammers are taking the situation.
Callum Wilson appears set to leave West Ham, mainly because of the signings of Taty Castellanos and Pablo, due to Nuno needing more firepower at the London Stadium.
Before a ball had even been kicked between the Hammers and Forest, however, Clinton Morrison made his feelings known over the home side’s manager, and it doesn’t make for good reading.

Clinton Morrison fears the worst for Nuno Espirito Santo
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, transcribed by BBC Sport (6 January), Morrison predicted Nuno’s future in East London, saying: “West Ham went to Wolves and basically rolled over.
“If you let Wolves, who are the worst team in the Premier League, they are going to get relegated. If you let them score three goals against you and you don’t even look a threat…
“Apart from maybe two penalty claims, it’s nowhere near good enough. It wouldn’t surprise me if the West Ham hierarchy make a change.“

The majority of supporters are now calling for change, but having only replaced Graham Potter in September, it is a dangerous game to continue changing figures in the dugout.
West Ham ready to line up more exits in January
Wilson is not the only player heading for the exit doors.
Mads Hermansen’s West Ham career could already be over after making just four appearances since his move from Leicester City, with Brazilian goalkeeper Bento being linked with a move.
Max Kilman is a player that supporters are regularly calling to be sold, though that is not at all surprising given the entire team’s form over the season so far.
With two big signings already being made, the idea that David Sullivan and Karren Brady are planning to pull the plug on Nuno’s tenure already doesn’t make too much sense.
Of course, the January transfer window is a very limited time for transfers to be done, and had the Hammers struggled to complete any deals, Nuno would be under pressure either way.
It remains to be seen how successful either of the forward signings will be, but it is a step in the right direction when the club needs it the most.
