Ola Aina and Dom Solanke react to Tosin Adarabioyo after Chelsea beat Leicester

Tosin Adarabioyo took to social media to celebrate as Chelsea secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Leicester City and got a series of responses.

Enzo Maresca’s side claimed all three points at Stamford Bridge on 9 March, with the Blues’ hero coming in the shape of Marc Cucurella, who fired past Mads Hermansen from long-range.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer continued his awful vein of form in front of goal, being denied from the penalty spot by Leicester’s in-form goalkeeper and being replaced with 20 minutes remaining.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, another manager under pressure at Leicester, could only watch on as his side created limited chances away from home, being marshalled by Adarabioyo and Levi Colwill.

Taking to Instagram [9 March], Adarabioyo wrote: “Another win delivered,” to which Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina and former Man City legend Joe Hart both liked the post.

Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke, Nicolas Jackson and Reece James also all liked the post as the Chelsea defender shared an image of himself going toe-to-toe with Jamie Vardy.

Enzo Maresca lives to fight another day at Stamford Bridge

Football Insider verdict

Maresca is already facing sack pressure at Chelsea, with fans extremely unhappy with the team’s immense drop in performances since the start of the season.

The Blues were being tipped as potential Premier League title challengers a few months ago, but having dropped to fourth in the table, Chelsea are now battling for Champions League qualification.

Maresca was always keen to not include his team in the same sentence as Liverpool and Arsenal this season, but many supporters feel this was a way of alleviating any anger when everything went wrong.

Tosin Adarabioyo stopped any chance of a Leicester victory at Stamford Bridge.

With the Blues claiming three consecutive victories across all competitions, finishing in the top four this season looks to be far more likely, and Adarabioyo can certainly take some of the thanks for that.

Maresca has to battle against Pep Guardiola‘s side, Brighton, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Newcastle and even Fulham for a top-four spot, and the competition is about to heat up with the club’s upcoming fixtures.
