Old Firm hero has done more than enough to earn Celtic start in potential title party
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers recently replaced Scott Bain with Craig Gordon as the Hoops number one goalkeeper, the Hoops boss must reconsider this and bring Gordon back into the fold for the upcoming Old Firm clash next Sunday, which could become a title party for the Bhoys with a win.
Gordon has, for almost all of Rodgers’ tenure, been the Hoops number one goalkeeper. and so it proved when he returned to the side following his knee injury.
However, he was to blame for Hibernian’s opening goal in the Hoops’ 2-1 loss at Easter Road on Saturday, and despite making some good saves since returning from injury, issues have remained for the 35-year-old, such as his dreadful distribution.
Bain hasn’t had any of those problems since he joined the Hoops on-loan from Dundee in January. In each of the starts he has made for the Bhoys, he has pulled off some excellent saves and hasn’t had any problems with his distribution either.
Bain’s main contribution so far this season was a superb display in the Hoops’ 3-2 win over the Gers in March, where in his debut for the Bhoys he pulled off some excellent saves to ensure that the team were able to pull off a momentous victory with 10 men.

Rodgers really should consider giving the Old Firm hero a chance again, he is less accident prone than Gordon, and hasn’t let anyone down since he has joined the Hoops. It is likely that Gordon will start though, and Hoops fans everywhere will be hoping that he has a good game, free of any errors.
