Omari Hutchinson fails as Hudson-Odoi excels – Nottingham Forest winners and losers vs Crystal Palace
Nottingham Forest couldn’t get the better of Crystal Palace in a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Ismaila Sarr put the South London club ahead before Callum Hudson-Odoi’s equaliser secured a point for Forest against Palace.
The Premier League encounter between Oliver Glasner’s men and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side witnessed Arnaud Kalimuendo, James McAtee, and Omari Hutchinson making their debuts for the East Midlands outfit as second-half substitutes.
Meanwhile, the game was surrounded by controversy as Crystal Palace fans displayed a banner showing Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis holding a gun to Morgan Gibbs-White’s head.
But who performed well for the City Ground club, and who had an afternoon they’d rather forget?

Nottingham Forest winners v Crystal Palace
Callum Hudson-Odoi
On an afternoon when Gibbs-White and Chris Wood dropped below their usual standards, Hudson-Odoi was Forest’s best attacker and deservedly got himself on the scoresheet.
The former Chelsea man produced a composed finish for his goal and was a constant danger for Palace fullback Daniel Munoz before being subbed off.

Dan Ndoye
Dan Ndoye enjoyed a strong start to life in Nottingham Forest colours when he scored on debut in a 3-1 victory over Brentford on the Premier League’s opening weekend.
The ex-Bologna star followed up on his strong showing against the Bees by notching an assist against Palace on Sunday.
Ndoye’s early performances for Espirito-Santo’s side show that he is likely to be a real asset in the Premier League this term.
Elliot Anderson
Elliot Anderson was one of England’s best players when Lee Carsley’s side won the Under-21 European Championship this summer.
Meanwhile, the Three Lions are yet to finalise their midfield selections ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
The Nottingham Forest man did his chances of earning a senior international call up no harm by playing well against Crystal Palace, while England boss Thomas Tuchel was in the crowd.

Forest losers from draw at Selhurst Park
Omari Hutchinson
Hutchinson would have hoped to enjoy a strong Premier League debut for Forest at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
However, after coming on as a late substitute, the former Ipswich winger instead missed two opportunities to score the winning goal for the East Midlands side.
Chris Wood
Wood is usually a reliable asset for Espirito Santo, largely thanks to his physicality and clinical eye for goal.
However, the former Newcastle United striker was well marshalled by the Eagles defence and couldn’t trouble goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Morgan Gibbs-White
Similarly to Wood, Gibbs-White’s performances in recent seasons have helped Nottingham Forest become somewhat of a powerhouse in the Premier League.
Contrastingly, the attacking midfielder lacked both creativity and quality in South London on Sunday and will need to perform better against West Ham next weekend.
The 25-year-old will be particularly disappointed that his mistake led to Crystal Palace’s opening goal.
