Ossie Ardiles has revealed he is “very confident” ahead of Tottenham’s match against Chelsea on Saturday.
The two London rivals face each other in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley, while Manchester City play Arsenal in the other half of the draw on Sunday.
Spurs are battling Chelsea for the Premier League title this season, but will put that rivalry aside to focus on the cup this weekend.
Mauricio Pochettino is yet to win silverware at White Hart Lane and the north London cub have not lifted a trophy since the League Cup in 2008.
However, they will be confident going into the Chelsea game after winning their last eight consecutive matches across all competitions.
Ardiles has explained his confidence ahead of the cup showdown and wished his former side good luck.
“The very best of luck to Mauricio Pochettino and the boys of Spurs. As always, very confident. Every game more and more,” Ardiles wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Spurs and Chelsea are regarded as the two best teams in England this season, with their league form highlighting that.
They have won win apiece during their meetings so far this campaign, with each side winning their home fixtures.
Spurs managed to win 2-0 in the last meeting as attacking midfielder Dele Alli managed to score a headed brace.
Pochettino is only without regular starter Danny Rose due to his long-term injury, but should be able to field a strong side.
Meanwhile, Chelsea could be without senior defender Gary Cahill and could turn to John Terry.
