Tottenham icon Ossie Ardiles has claimed that he would not change Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino for any other manager in the world after Sunday’s win against Liverpool.
Spurs have improved leaps and bounds under the leadership of the Argentinean boss, but are yet to win any major silverware after a clutch of near misses.
The North London club has finished third and second place in the Premier League in the last two seasons as well as reaching the FA Cup semi-final last term when they were dumped out by Chelsea.
Sunday’s 4-1 hammering of Liverpool has put Tottenham back in the fray for a maiden Premier League title as they moved level on points with second placed Manchester United.
Ardiles has raved about the performance of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane for their roles in the win over Jurgen Klopp’s side, but has heaped most praised on Pochettino for masterminding the win.
“Where to start? Lloris, superb. Kane (What else we can say about him?). The rest of team. This is what we are: A TEAM! And the architect of all of this: Mauricio. I won’t change him for anybody in the world. So nice to be supporting Spurs right now,” he said on his personal Twitter account.
