Scott Brown sends Instagram message to Celtic fans after winning title
Celtic captain Scott Brown has taken to social media to praise his Hoops team-mates and the clubs’ fans after the Bhoys clinched the league title with a 5-0 victory over bitter rivals Rangers.
The Hoops dominated the match from start to finish, and Brown was eager to lavish accolades on not only his team-mates but also the Hoops support after the Old Firm demolition job on his personal Instagram account.
“Outstanding for start to finish today lads. Thanks for the support,” said the Hoops skipper, who is likely to be named as Scotland’s player of the year on Sunday night.

Brown wasn’t at his imposing best against the Gers, as he seemed more than content to let fellow midfielders Olivier Ntcham and Tom Rogic do the job, and both players had terrific games as the Hoops swept to victory.
Football Insider verdict
Brown, despite not being at his very best at Celtic Park, revelled in the occasion as the Hoops won the title in style against the team they would have wanted to defeat more than most. The nature of the performance would have pleased the Hoops skipper, as the Bhoys were relentless throughout the match, and only great goalkeeping kept the score down to five. Brown will want the Hoops to push on now though, as they still have the Scottish Cup Final and the prospect of a second successive domestic treble to play for, and there’s no doubt that Brown would want to be the captain of the Hoops side that makes football history.
