Paul Robinson claims Wolves defender Max Kilman has the potential to be a special talent.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Laura O’Leary, the ex-England No.1 raved about Kilman following him making his full Premier League debut against Sheffield United on Sunday.
The 22-year-old centre-back played the full 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw with the Blades after previously only appearing once in England’s top-flight.
Robinson revealed that he thought Kilman was absolutely outstanding at the back and revealed the biggest compliment you could pay him is that you couldn’t tell it was his debut.
When asked if Kilman has the potential to be a special talent, Robinson told Football Insider: “Yeah, 22-years-old and he was put into a back three as well.
“Wolves have had a couple of injuries this year, Coady has been the one consistent and he came in alongside Coady and Dendoncker and was absolutely outstanding.
“At 22-years-old the manager obviously trusts him as playing in a back-three, there is a lot more responsibility for a centre-half than there is when there’s just the two there.
“But I thought he came in and did very well, the biggest compliment you can pay him is that it didn’t look like his debut.”
Kilman has featured a total of seven times for Wolves’ senior side with him also making 21 appearances for their U-23s team.
The centre-back signed for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in August 2018 from Maidenhead United after making 34 appearances for them.
