'Outstanding', 'Having a party' - Rangers fans rave about 29-year-old after win v Ross County

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers attacker Daniel Candeias started on the right-wing for Rangers against Ross County on Sunday afternoon – and Gers fans on Twitter were delighted with his display.

The Ibrox giants ran out a comfortable victory at home against the Premiership relegation battlers with two goals in the first half from summer signing Alfredo Morelos alongside an effort from Eduardo Herrera in the second half cancelling out an effort from Thomas Mikkelsen in the 3-1 win.

It was a display which saw many of the Rangers team receive their plaudits from onlooking fans and one of the most highly praised was summer signing Candeias.

The 28-year-old Portuguese winger didn’t trouble the score sheet on Sunday, but many on social media commented on his creativity and link-up play with right-back James Tavernier.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Candeias made the swich to Rangers back in June for a reported fee of £700,000 from Portuguese giants Benfica.

Sunday’s match against Ross County marked Candeias’ seventh in a Rangers shirt since his move, which have seen him return one goal and one assist in all competitions.

The victory has also elevated Rangers up to sixth place in the Premiership table and five points off top of the league Aberdeen with a match at Ibrox against Dundee coming up next on September 9.

In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has responded when asked if the Gers should sack Pedro Caixinha.
