Man United suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Sevilla at Old Trafford in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and crashed out of the competition after drawing 0-0 in the first leg.
It was a terrible performance from Jose Mourinho’s men, lacking in ideas, creativity and attacking intent.
It was 0-0 at half-time, but two goals from substitute Wissam Ben Yedder, bringing his total to eight in this year’s Champions League, sunk United, despite a late consolation from Romelu Lukaku.
There wasn’t a standout player on the United team but fans rallied behind Marcus Rashford for playing with passion.
He was played out on the right by Mourinho after a brilliant display against Liverpool, and it didn’t work, but fans were heartened by his effort.
Mourinho is coming in for the most criticism from fans after one of the worst European nights at Old Trafford, and he’s got a serious job to raise his players for the FA Cup quarter final against Brighton on Saturday.

Meanwhile, here are the best reactions from fans who together think that Rashford was the only player worth praising on Tuesday night:
I don’t mind losing when they’ve had a good go and left it all on the pitch. No passion except Rashford. Need a big performance in the FACup to beat a in form Brighton on Sat. #MANSEV #championsleague

#MUFC players need to look at Marcus Rashford to see what it's like to be a fan of the club he at least showed some passion during the match https://t.co/x8c2jmwbYR

If was awful. Weird team choice…starting Fellaini as a holding midfielder? Just weren't at the races today. Very nervous. Rashford played ok, that's all I can say that's positive.

I think Rashford should be included. He was the only one running at them and creating anything. Wasn't always on point in the final 3rd but you can't question his desire and attitude on the day. In the end, the few chances and goal all started with him

Doesn't matter if United win or not but you gotta give it all and leave everything on the pitch.
Sevilla or Bayern, you perform till the last.
Barring Lukaku & Rashford ,I didn't see any passion.
Pogba has short on confidence & the tactics we play with, not helpful at all.— Man Utd 4-5-4 (@ManUtdSZN) March 13, 2018
Once again the only players showing passion is Lukaku and Rashford, play for the badge on the front and we will remember the name on the back
