Pau Torres: Arsenal told to hijack Tottenham deal after source’s reveal – pundit
Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal and Mikel Arteta to hijack a potential Tottenham move for defender Pau Torres.
The former Gunners striker, who delivered weekly punditry for La Liga TV last season, was speaking exclusively to Football Insider about interest in the Villarreal 24-year-old.
This site revealed yesterday (22 March) that Tottenham are keeping tabs on Spain international Torres ahead of the summer window.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Torres is once again on the radar of Spurs and manager Antonio Conte after they failed with a move last summer (2021).
Torres is valued at more than £50m by Villarreal, with Conte believing he is one of Europe’s finest centre-backs.
Campbell claimed the Spaniard would “suit Spurs down to the ground” and called on Arsenal to gazump their north London rivals this summer.
“He’s a very good player,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“I think he’d suit Spurs down to the ground. He’s a quality footballer.
“I’d like to see Arsenal interested in him as well as Spurs. Mikel Arteta probably knows of him, but all you can say is watch this space.
“He’d fit into that Spurs system, the back three. Antonio Conte wants quality in these positions and in his squad, and he certainly fits the bill.”
Torres, who is out of contract in 2024, has played 36 games in all competitions this season, netting five goals.

Just three points separate Arsenal and Tottenham in the Premier League with the sides yet to meet for a second time this term.
However, it is the Gunners currently in fourth and therefore in the driving seat for Champions League qualification.
