Paul McGrath has labelled Aston Villa match winner Jonathan Kodjia as “class” after he helped his side secure a 1-0 win against QPR on Tuesday night.
At the start of the calendar year, club legend McGrath was critical of the 27-year-old striker and his inability to play with others around him.
However, in recent months, Kodjia has rediscovered his form, scoring seven goals in his last seven matches, which has helped the club win seven out of their last eight matches.
After his recent match-winning performance, Holte End favourite, McGrath had this message for the club’s summer signing.
“Delighted with the result,” McGrath wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Jonathan Kodjia, keep it up son, you were class.”

Ivory Coast international Kodjia moved to Villa Park from Championship rivals Bristol City last summer for a fee which could rise to £15million, dependent on performances.
However, Kodjia has produced the goods in front of goal throughout this campaign, playing 36 league games for the club and finding the back of the net on 18 occasions.
Bruce’s side have won four games on the bounce, scoring seven goals, with Kodjia contributing to five of those strikes.
He will be looking to continue his winning run when the in-form Championship side travels to Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon.
Thereafter, Villa will take on promotion hopefuls Reading and Fulham, before their all-important crucial encounter against bitter rivals Birmingham on April 23 on home soil.
Four wins from those matches would see Villa surge up the table with the possibility of claiming that top six finish.
In other Aston Villa news, the club are eyeing this Bundesliga striker whose contract ends in the summer.
