Paul Merson has delivered a massive put-down of Dimitri Payet by stating no-one would have known who he was had he not joined West Ham.
The 29-year-old Hammers star is seeking a move away from the London Stadium after manager Slaven Bilic confirmed that he does not want to play for the club.
SB: "We have said we don't want to sell our best players but @dimpayet17 does not want to play for us. We are not going to sell him.

Bilic confirmed the bombshell on Thursday morning which resulted in reports in the media stating that his former club Marseille have had a £22.5 million offer turned down for him.
Now, former Arsenal and Aston Villa midfielder Merson delivered his verdict on the Frenchman and stated what he would do with the wantaway player.
“Let’s be honest, if it wasn’t for West Ham then we probably wouldn’t even know who Payet is – they put him on the map and then he treats them like this,” Merson wrote in his Sky Sports column.

“I’d say get rid of him, get £30m and drop him off. You don’t want people like that around who just use the club.”
Payet joined the east London club from Marseille during the summer 2015 and his performances instantly drew plaudits from fans.
He helped the Irons finish in a European spot as he was nominated for Players’ Player of the Year for the previous campaign.
These performances also saw him being named in the Euro 2016 touring party as his home country France hosted the major tournament.
However, since the start of the new season, Payet has seen his form dip in front of goal as his team are struggling to find form also.
The France international has scored just three goals this season as his side lost their previous encounter 5-0 when Manchester City knocked them out of the FA Cup.
Furthermore, they are also seven points above the drop zone in the Premier League but that gap can be closed if 17th-placed Crystal Palace beat them on the weekend.
