Paul Merson predicts Everton v Burnley
By Harvey Byrne
Paul Merson has predicted a comfortable Everton victory ahead of their weekend clash against Burnley.
The Toffees are currently preparing for their Premier League encounter which sees them host Sean Dyche’s side at Goodison Park.
There is currently just five places separating the two teams in the English top-flight, but there is a massive 18 point gap between the pair.
When they last met Burnley ran out 2-1 winners with their impressive home record helping them to a vital three points.
However, Merson believes the Lancashire club will be less fortunate on the road and has predicted a 2-0 Everton victor ahead of the encounter.

“Everton are playing well at home and Burnley are not the greatest away from Turf Moor,” told Merson to the Sky Sports website.
“They have not won a Premier League match on their travels this season and I can’t see that changing on Saturday.
“Ronald Koeman’s side are flying, especially Romelu Lukaku, and I think their winning streak continues.”
Everton returned to winning ways last weekend with an entertaining 4-2 win over league champions Leicester.
They have won their last seven league matches at Goodison Park and are currently looking dominant on their own turf.
Burnley have enjoyed similar success in their home with 32 of their 36 point total coming at Turf Moor.
But, as Merson pointed out they are currently bottom of the away league table with just six points gained from 15 matches and Everton will surely be the favourites for the weekend meeting.
In other Everton news, this Toffees 23-year-old is reportedly unhappy with Ronald Koeman’s comments.
