Paul Merson predicts Everton v Manchester United
By Dominic Toner
Paul Merson has predicted Everton to suffer a defeat when they travel to Manchester United on Tuesday night.
The Toffees go to Old Trafford for a Premier League clash and will be looking to respond from their 3-1 defeat to Merseyside rivals Liverpool in their last game.
The result meant they stay seventh in the league table and effectively ended their top-four hopes in the process.
Sky Sports pundit Merson has tipped Everton to slip to a 3-1 loss at Old Trafford.
“A few weeks ago everyone was talking about Everton being on the up, and then they go to Middlesbrough and draw 0-0,” Merson told Sky Sports. “Then they get bigged up, go to Tottenham and are poor. Then they get bigged up again, go to Liverpool and are poor.

“They are missing a few players, but I thought it was comfortable for Liverpool.”
Everton may now be set for a Europa League qualifying spot, but it’s still been a strong first season for Dutch manager Ronald Koeman.
He has helped introduce several young talents to the first team at Goodison Park and they are expected to compete with the top six during the next few years.
The Toffees also possess the Premier League’s leading goal scorer in Romelu Lukaku, who has been in immaculate form this season.
They will be hoping to prove their qualities when they fact United and would actually move above the fifth-placed side on goal difference with a win.
