Michael Ball poses question after Everton agree new Davies deal
By Harvey Byrne
Former Everton full-back Michael Ball has posed the question of whether Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley will now “follow suit” after Tom Davies’ new contract at the club.
The star pairs future are currently in doubt with Barkley closing in on the final year of his deal, while much sought after striker Lukaku has just two years remaining on his contract at the club.
But, the Toffees have secured the future of one of their ever-growing talents and the club announced on their official website on Monday afternoon that Davies had extended his stay until 2022.
The news led to many happy reactions from the Everton fan base, but Ball had his attentions elsewhere, as while he congratulated Davies on his new deal on Twitter, he was also wondering if Lukaku and Barkley would now be next.
Congratulations @1TomDavies well deserved.

Barkley and Lukaku are currently Everton’s top two goalscorers with the Belgian netting an impressive 22, while the attacking midfielder trails with five.

They are both of large interest to other Premier League clubs with Barkley being strongly linked with Tottenham, while Lukaku is reportedly interesting former club Chelsea.
However, fans will certainly agree with Ball’s mindset and will be keen to see the club announce new terms for the pair in the near future.
