Paul Merson predicts Everton v West Ham
By Will Butcher
Paul Merson believes Everton are in for a tricky clash against West Ham on Saturday as they travel south to face the Hammers at the London Stadium.
The Toffees come into the game after winning four of their last six outings, while the Hammers have managed just one victory in their last nine games under manager Slaven Bilic.
Merson claimed on the Sky Sports website that the two sides would share the spoils in a 1-1 draw, as the Hammers look to confirm their Premier League status.
“It will be a difficult game for Ronald Koeman’s side but Everton’s fine form should continue in east London,” Merson said.
“West Ham need to get a couple more points to confirm their top-flight status and I think they battle to a draw this weekend. They are not as bad as everybody seems to be saying.”

The Hammers have been dismal at the London Stadium this season, winning just six of their 16 Premier League matches after moving to their new home in Stretford before the start of the 2016-17 season.
Ronald Koeman’s side will be in buoyant mood ahead of Saturday’s clash after winning their last two games against Leicester and Burnley, and will be hopeful they can secure a repeat of the reverse fixture between the two sides.
Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley were on target last time out against the Hammers, as Everton secured a 2-0 win at Goodison Park.
In other Everton news, Bilic has made this bold claim about one of Everton’s star players.
