Pedro Neto: Wolves backed to keep star man after Tottenham reveal – Keith Wyness
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed Wolves star Pedro Neto will likely stay at the club this summer.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted the 24-year-old is only worth around £40million and is “operating at the same level” as Wolves.
Neto has attracted interest from top Premier League clubs since arriving at Molineux in 2019, with Man City, Arsenal and Newcastle United among the clubs linked with a potential move.
Tottenham expert Paul O’Keefe revealed on Tuesday (via X, 2 July) that the Portugal international is back under consideration at Spurs this summer.
Neto, who is currently playing at the European Championships in Germany, notched three goals and 11 assists in 24 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.
Neto set to remain at Wolves this summer, says Wyness
Wyness claimed the winger remaining at Wolves would “make the most sense for all parties”.
He told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “I had a value of about £40million in mind, I think that’s about the right level.
“But I think he’ll end up staying this summer.
“That’s what would make the most sense for all parties.
“Wolves are a club operating at about the level I think Neto is at right now.”

Neto is under contract at Molineux until June 2027 after signing a new deal in March 2022.
The 10-cap Portugal international has now made 111 Premier League appearances.
