Pedro Porro and Anthony Elanga make fun of Dejan Kulusevski’s Tottenham message

Dejan Kulusevski seemed to drop a hint on social media about his potential return from injury, only for the Tottenham star to be made fun of by those who know him.

Tottenham’s greatest fears were confirmed when Kulusevski was pictured in a protective boot, and the Sweden international has been unavailable for selection since the end of February.

His potential return from injury could not come at a much better time, with Ange Postecoglou under immense pressure from Tottenham fans and a place in the Europa League semi-finals at stake.

Spurs have won just one of their last five matches across all competitions, but with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven fully rested, and only a few players left in the medical room, there is a slight hope of success.

Dejan Kulusevski closing in on Tottenham return

Taking to Instagram [29 March], Kulusevski wrote: “Coming to a show near you, DK tha truth 2.0,” suggesting a return to the pitch could be extremely close.

Pedro Porro commented: “Movie on Netflix…” with a laughing emoji, prompting a further comment from Nottingham Forest‘s Anthony Elanga, a Sweden teammate, who said: “This man is a philosopher,” with another laughing emoji.

Ange Postecoglou needs Europa League title to survive in North London

Football Insider verdict

Spurs fans have been furious with Daniel Levy’s lack of action when it comes to replacing Postecoglou, especially with Fulham’s Marco Silva and Brentford’s Thomas Frank among those being considered.

With the team currently experiencing a horrendous 2024/25 campaign, sitting 14th in the Premier League and being kicked out of the FA Cup and EFL Cup early, the manager is right on the brink in North London.

Ange Postecoglou has won less than half of his games in charge at Tottenham.

Noises at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are only becoming louder and louder, and with each passing defeat, those frustrations are only growing and, eventually, being aimed towards Levy.

Postecoglou will likely save himself from being sacked if the Lilywhites can lift the Europa League title this season, but with Lazio, Man United and Athletic Bilbao all still in the competition, that could be tricky.

Injuries have certainly played a major role for Spurs this season, but with the manager refusing to adapt and make changes, he only has himself to blame if his tenure comes to a rather swift end this summer.
