Phil Foden reacts to Jeremy Doku’s ‘difficult’ Man City message after new development
Man City forward Jeremy Doku gave fans an update on his future plans despite players currently being away on holiday.
Doku played a key role in Pep Guardiola’s side last season, often being preferred over Jack Grealish in the starting XI on the left-flank.
However, the campaign ultimately ended in disappointment, with the club finishing the year without silverware, as well as Man City suffering a shock exit to Al-Hilal in the Club World Cup.
Despite the result, Doku impressed during the tournament for Man City, scoring twice in three appearances and showing his value to the squad.
Now, the Belgian winger has offered fans a glimpse into his next steps, sharing a heartfelt message as he prepares for his upcoming project.

Premier League stars react as Jeremy Doku launches YouTube channel
Doku shared a new update with supporters, announcing via Instagram that he has launched a YouTube channel to give fans a deeper look into the “difficult” side of professional football.
He captioned the post: “Not everything you see tells the full story. There’s more behind the scenes – Faith changed a lot for me. On and off the pitch.”
The video drew reactions from several high-profile names including Phil Foden, Mohammed Kudus and Nico Gonzalez. Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah also responded in the comments, writing: “Powerful brother.”
Doku spent time on the sidelines last season, missing 13 games due to a recurring hamstring injury that has troubled him since 2021. He explained that this was part of the motivation behind his channel – to show the unseen side of a footballer’s life, particularly when dealing with setbacks.
Despite the interruptions, Doku enjoyed a strong campaign for Manchester City, featuring regularly on the left wing. The 23-year-old made 41 appearances across all competitions, contributing nine goals and nine assists in just over 2,000 minutes of action.
Man City suffer Ethan Nwaneri setback amid Arsenal contract talks

While the club have already made major moves in the transfer window, Man City had been keeping close tabs on Arsenal talent Ethan Nwaneri, with a view to adding more depth out wide.
However, despite their long-standing interest, Football Insider revealed that Nwaneri is now close to signing a new long-term deal at Arsenal.
The 18-year-old had just one year remaining on his current contract and had sparked interest from several top clubs. But the Gunners appear to have convinced their academy graduate to commit his future in North London.
