Philippe Keny’s 6.01 and 5.83 stats show why Rangers should pull out all the stop to complete summer deal
Philippe Keny has emerged on Rangers’ radar in recent weeks ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old striker has been in top form for FC Zurich this season and has already netted 12 times in the Swiss Super League.
Rangers’ striker issues have plagued their campaign, and it is a big reason why they are not currently sitting top of the division.
Now, the Gers have an excellent chance to solve this in the summer as they eye Keny.

VISIT THE RANGERS TRANSFER HUBPhilippe Keny has outstanding stats for FC Zurich
Since signing for Zurich last summer, Keny has been on fire.
Throughout the campaign, he has never struggled to find the net, despite the Swiss outfit struggling in the division.
| Philippe Keny’s Swiss Super League stats this season | Per 90 minutes |
| Goals | 0.52 |
| xG | 0.55 |
| Shots | 2.87 |
| Shots on target | 1.48 |
| Touches in opposition box | 5.83 |
| Aerial duels won | 6.01 |
Many of his stats are simply outstanding, especially in attack, with Keny dominating the opposition.
According to Fotmob on 3 April, he is averaging 0.52 goals, a 0.55 xG, 2.87 shots, 1.48 shots on target, 5.83 touches in the opposition box and 6.01 aerial duels won per match.
Therefore, it is clear that he is a menace up top, in what is certainly a difficult league to compete in.
As a result, Keny could easily solve Rangers’ attacking issues, as he clearly has no trouble finding the back of the net.
Hence, Danny Rohl simply has to make him his top target going into the summer transfer window.
How much would Keny cost Rangers?
Football Insider exclusively revealed that Keny would cost Rangers up to £6million in the summer transfer window.
A number of British clubs are now preparing to make moves for the six-foot-two striker in the summer after he has proved himself as a key player and leader at Zurich.
As a result, Rangers may need to act fast if they are to acquire the Senegal international’s signature before another club swoops in.
Currently, his contract is set to run until 2028, which could allow Zurich to keep hold of their prized attacker if no clubs meet their asking price.
However, it remains to be seen who will win the battle for Keny as the summer transfer window edges closer.
