Leaked: Image emerges of brand new 2017/18 Rangers third kit
By James Black
Rangers fans are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to buy the club’s strips again after their long-running dispute with retailer Sports Direct – and images of the new third kit appear to have been leaked online a few days before it’s launched.
Earlier this year, Rangers came to an agreement which allowed fans to end their self-imposed boycott of club merchandise over the one-sided retail contract with Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct.
Within days of the announcement being made, fans had stripped shelves bare as they got their hands on everything from shirts to Rangers-branded rubber ducks.
And now it seems there might be something else new to get their hands on with a leaked imaged of the new kit surfacing on Twitter, two days before it is supposed to be launched on Friday.

Rangers’ Supporter Liason Officer Greg Marshall had previously hinted at a black third kit on Twitter in August which would give some credence to the leaked images.

The Gers have had several black change kits in recent years – the most recent being in 2013/14 – and follows the same template as the club’s new red and white away kit.
The Glasgow giants have been hamstrung over the last few seasons because of the kit deal with Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct, but with that torn up, fans can now buy merchandise safe in the knowledge that Pedro Caixinha will see the benefit.
In latest Rangers news, fans reacted to Kenny Miller playing for the Under-20’s against Brentford B.
