Piers Morgan names former Liverpool star he wants in Arsenal team, has this message for Wenger
By Tony Hughes
Arsenal fan and Wenger critic Piers Morgan is still thinking about the player that got away, in a Q&A on Twitter.
He was asked on Twitter which past/present Liverpool player would get into the current Arsenal team, and he gave an emphatic one word answer: “Suarez.”
Arsenal have struggled to land a world class striker, despite being linked to several over the summer. They signed Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna at the end of August for £17million, but he’s yet to score in the Premier League.

Morgan has been one of Wenger’s fiercest critics over the past couple of years and has routinely used the hashtag #WengerOut on his Twitter feed.
Asked by another fan to name something good about Wenger, Morgan joked, “his ability to avoid being sacked.”

Wenger has come under fire for his careful approach to transfers but, ironically, the club’s careless approach to Luis Suarez while at Liverpool could go down as one of their biggest mistakes in the transfer market.
Arsenal infamously bid £40m plus £1 in July 2013 for Luis Suarez while the Uruguayan was at Liverpool, believing that the amount would trigger a deal.
Liverpool were adamant that the clause just meant they had to inform the player of Arsenal’s interest and were angered by the lack of respect shown by the north London club.
Suarez eventually moved to Barcelona in July 2014 for a fee approaching £70m but he has repaid the Spanish club many times over, scoring an incredible 92 goals in 106 games.
He is now regarded as one of the, if not the, best striker in the world.
