Piers Morgan rants on Twitter after Arsenal suffer another defeat

By Amir Mir

Broadcaster Piers Morgan ranted on Twitter after Arsenal were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Gunners fan Morgan saw his team suffer their second defeat within a week, following their loss at Everton on Tuesday night.

Despite taking the lead in the crucial top of the table fixture, Arsene Wenger’s side conceded two second-half goals to drop valuable points in the title race.

Theo Walcott opened the scoring after five minutes when he slotted home Alexis Sanchez’ cute reverse pass.

But Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling punished their opponents after the break as Pep Guardiola’s side secured all three points.

The performance and defeat did not please Morgan as he posted these messages on his personal Twitter account.

The defeat against City means Wenger’s side drop down to fourth in the table on 34 points from 17 games, losing three of those encounters, two of which they lost this week.

Wenger’s side are now nine points behind leaders Chelsea going into the busy festive period, but more worryingly they are only a point ahead of rivals Tottenham in fifth.

The Gunners welcome Tony Pulis’ West Brom on Boxing Day and they will then start the new year by facing Crystal Palace.

In other Arsenal news, supporters on Twitter urge Alexis Sanchez to leave after the Gunners are beaten at Manchester City.
