West Brom midfielder Darren Fletcher has shared that Tottenham are a “top-class team” ahead of Saturday’s encounter.
The Midlands side are currently preparing to face the north London club at White Hart Lane for the weekend’s Premier League fixture.
It is a clash which sees third place Spurs take on eighth West Brom at home and Fletcher believes his side will have to be at the top of their game in order to get a result.
“It’s obviously going to be a difficult game against Tottenham, as it always is for us,” told Fletcher to the official West Brom website.
“They’ve hit a bit of form recently.
“Spurs are a top-class team who score a lot of goals.
“We managed to get a point against them earlier on in the season.
“They penned us in during the first half but we fought back really well in that game and enjoyed a good second period.
“They scored a late goal against us at The Hawthorns after putting us under a lot of pressure.
“We know we are going to have to be on top of our game on Saturday, but we have done well there in the past and hopefully we can get another positive result.”
The two sides have already faced each other in the league at the Hawthorns this campaign.
The pair could not be separated and the Baggies were even close to snatching a victory with former Spurs man Nacer Chadli scoring the opener in the last 10 minutes.
However, star man Dele Alli’s 89th minute strike ensured a share of the spoils in the 1-1 draw.
Tottenham are currently enjoying an impressive run of form, which has brought six victories from their last six matches in all competitions, including a win against league leaders Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Tony Pulis’ side have suffered three defeats from their last five games and they will be keen to recapture their early season form.
