Pochettino slams Tottenham fans after 5-1 victory v Stoke
Mauricio Pochettino has called on fans to provide a better atmosphere at Wembley for his Tottenham team, even when they’re not winning.
In an interview with talkSPORT, the Spurs boss was a little disappointed by the atmosphere fans provided at the start of their game against Stoke City.
“The atmosphere was a little bit flat in the stadium today,” said Pochettino.
“You need to score and [have a good] performance for 90 minutes to win games, maybe today the people were a little impatient and it translated to the team.”
Tottenham took the lead in the game against Stoke City in the 21st minute after Ryan Shawcross scored an own goal.
Spurs then scored four goals in the second-half, two coming from Harry Kane, to ensure a comfortable victory.

Stoke City did grab a goal back in the final 10 minutes of the game, as Shawcross struck again but this time for his team.
Pochettino revealed that the fans were fantastic as the game went on, after originally criticising them for negatively affecting the team.
The 5-1 victory against Stoke City ended Tottenham’s four game run without a league victory, and leaves them fifth in the table.
Spurs are now one point behind Liverpool, ahead of the Reds playing Everton on Sunday, and 15 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Manchester City could restore the gap to 18 points but have to overcome second place Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
