Pontus Jansson delivers four-word verdict after Leeds win against Birmingham
By Amir Mir
Pontus Jansson has stated that “fighting spirit is everything” after Leeds beat Birmingham City 3-1 in their Championship clash on Friday night.
Centre-back Jansson started the game alongside his usual defensive partner Kyle Bartley with whom he has formed a brilliant partnership with over the course of the season.
The duo, who at this moment in time, are on loan from Italian outfit Torino and English Premier League side Swansea respectively, have been key figures to the club’s success this term.
In a nervy game at St Andrew’s where there were a number of sloppy passes from the defensive backline, a Chris Wood brace helped the club secure a valuable three points.

“Fighting spirit is everything,” Jansson wrote on his personal Twitter account.
Jansson has played 26 Championship matches for his side, helping them secure ten clean sheets during those encounters.
However, the Elland Road fan favourite will be disappointed that his team have not managed to secure a clean sheet away from home since their 1-0 win against Wolves in October.
Nonetheless, Jansson will be looking to put that right when the Yorkshire club travel to London next Tuesday night for an important promotion clash against Fulham.
The Craven Cottage club sit one place outside of the top six and are eleven points behind fourth-placed Leeds in the table.
However, Fulham have two games in hand on their rivals, winning those games and beating Monk’s side could prove to be significant at the end of the season.
