'Absolutely no chance' - English club scout responds to reported interest in Rangers star

Bristol City scout Kirk Willoughby has savaged a report claiming Rangers star Alfredo Morelos was being targeted by the English Championship – calling it “very poor journalism” on Twitter before deleting his claim.
The Scottish Sun had reported City were considering a move for Morelos as they look to strengthen their bid for a playoff place in the Championship.
Morelos joined the Gers last summer from Finnish champions HJK Helsinki and is the top goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership so far this season.
Willoughby – who is Bristol City’s senior scout in Scotland claimed there is “absolutely no chance” of a move taking the 21-year-old Colombian from Ibrox.
“I can tell you right now that this is very poor journalism,” Willoughby said, on his personal Twitter account, before going on to delete it.
“As the Bristol City senior scout in Scotland there is absolutely no chance of Bristol being interested in Morelos.”

Willoughby is a former Rangers youth player and the son of Ibrox legend Alex Willoughby.
The news Bristol City aren’t targeting the 21-year-old will be a huge relief for Rangers fans who have been hugely impressed by the Colombian forward.
Morelos has scored 12 times in 25 appearances in all competitions for the Ibrox side this season after his £1million move from Finland.
Lee Johnson’s Bristol City side are currently 5th in the Championship table as they look to win their first ever promotion to the Premier League.
Morelos is under contract at Ibrox until the summer of 2020 with the Gers unlikely to want to sell their prized asset any time soon.
In other Rangers news, there have been discussions held about the Gers’ hunt to sign this international playmaker from the Premier League.
