'Terrible', 'Sealed his exit' - Celtic fans tear into attacker for display

Celtic fans on social media haven’t impressed with loan Bhoy Ryan Christie’s performance for Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Motherwell.

The 23-year-old attacker didn’t have the best of games as the the Steelmen convincingly defeated the Dons 3-0 to reach the Scottish Cup Final in May.

One supporter went as far as to suggest that he will ‘never make the grade’ at the Hoops when he returns to the club at the end of the season.

Here are some of the best reactions from Hoops fans to Christie’s performance for the Dons:

The midfielder has spent the last 18 months on-loan at Pittodrie, firstly on a six month deal then as part of the deal which took Jonny Hayes to the Hoops.

He has been a regular for Derek McInnes’ side this season, making 38 appearances, and his statistics are good for a midfielder, as he scored eight goals and has 14 assists.

There is of course a big difference between playing for Aberdeen and playing for the Hoops though, and it will be interesting to see what Brendan Rodgers made of Christie’s performance in what was Aberdeen’s biggest game of the season.

He is set to return to Glasgow at the end of the season, and only time will tell if he manages to make the breakthrough with the Scottish champions.
