Premier League club emerge as new ‘favourites’ to sign Troy Parrott – it’s not Leeds
Troy Parrott could soon join West Ham after they were installed as the new favourites to sign him before the transfer deadline by one of the UK’s top bookmakers.
Parrott‘s career has burst into life over the last 12 months after some impressive developments at both club and international level.
The Irish striker failed to ever fully break into the first-team picture at Tottenham during his seven-year spell at the club, which ended when he permanently joined AZ Alkmaar in July 2024.
He notched 20 times in 47 appearances in all competitions in his maiden campaign with the Dutch club, and Football Insider recently revealed that Parrott is wanted by Premier League sides after he fired the Republic of Ireland to the World Cup playoffs in November.
Leeds were the previous frontrunners to sign Parrott, but West Ham could now be set to seal his services as they aim to add firepower to Nuno Espirito Santo’s ranks and avoid relegation.

West Ham leading odds for Parrott amid superb Alkmaar form
West Ham were tipped to move for Parrott last month, not long after he had netted a historic hat-trick against Hungary to send Ireland to the 2026 World Cup playoffs.
He has notched an impressive 20 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for Alkmaar this season, including a hat-trick against Ajax in a 6-0 KNVB Cup rout on 14 January.
With rumours around his future rife as the January window nears its conclusion, a leading UK bookmaker has priced West Ham as the frontrunner to be Parrott’s next club, at odds of 10/1.
Who else is in the running to sign Parrott alongside West Ham?
Wolves remain in the mix to sign the Irish striker soon, and they are the second-favourite among Premier League sides to do so, at odds of 12/1, but are a level price with Bundesliga club Stuttgart.
Sunderland are the new third-favourites at 14/1 odds to sign Parrott, with Leeds‘ odds falling to 16/1 despite their reported interest, according to the same top bookmaker.

Celtic have also been linked to signing Parrott before the 2 February transfer deadline, but the same bookmaker has them as clear outsiders at odds of 20/1.
Everton‘s striker issues have been highlighted over the last few months, and they are priced at the same odds as the Hoops, with Fulham and Wolfsburg both 25/1 outsiders.
