Ray Parlour revealed he believes the pressure is all on Arsenal as they prepare to face Tottenham on Saturday.
The Gunners legend shared his worries on talkSPORT (Thursday 10.09am) about his former side ahead of the clash, acknowledging Spurs’ improvement has made the game difficult.
“I’m worried, it’s a lot harder game for Arsenal, Tottenham now,” said Parlour, “Spurs are a very good side now, we know how good they are under Pochettino.
“Really the pressure is all on Arsenal, being at home and obviously coming off the defeat to Manchester City.”
Parlour continued revealing his concern about what a Tottenham win would mean to Arsenal on Saturday,“ saying, “Believe it or not they could be seven points behind Spurs already if they lose.”
Tottenham go into the north London Derby third in the league, four points clear of sixth placed Arsenal.
Last season, was the first time during Arsene Wenger’s reign that Spurs finished above the Gunners in the league.
Tottenham successfully qualified for the Champions League as runners up to Chelsea, with the Gunners only qualifying for Europa League finishing fifth.
However, despite finishing higher there was no clear winner between the two north London sides across the three games they played last season.
Tottenham got the better of the league clashes earning a 1-1 draw at the Emirates before defeating Arsenal 2-0 at White Hart Lane .
The Gunners got their win over Spurs, in the League Cup third round, beating them 2-1 at White Hart Lane.
