Pulis: This Tottenham midfielder is as good as any in the league (not Alli)

West Brom manager Tony Pulis believes that Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama is as good as any in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old Kenya international left Premier League side Southampton in the summer, completing an £11million deal to White Hart Lane.
He has become an immediate ever-present in the strong Spurs defensive unit, playing 26 times in all competitions.
Baggies boss Pulis is also a big fan of the holding midfielder and ahead of Saturday’s encounter the experienced manager hailed Wanyama as up there with the best in the league.
“They’ve got fantastic players,” started Pulis speaking to West Brom’s official YouTube account.

“Dembele is as good a midfield player and they’ve got great balance. Wanyama’s as good a holding midfield player as anybody in the Premiership.
“He’s (Mauricio Pochettino) spent a lot of money, but he’s spent it well.”
Tottenham currently boast the best defensive record in the English top flight with just 14 goals conceded from their 20 encounters.
It has put them in a good position in third place, but they will be keen to go even further with seven points currently separating them from league leaders Chelsea.
The north London side are enjoying a good run of form with six wins from their last six matches in all competitions.
They will be keen to pick up another win against the Baggies on Saturday, but the two sides could not be separated in their last league meeting with late goals from Nacer Chadli and Dele Alli resulting in a 1-1 draw.
The match is scheduled to be shown live on Sky Sports 1 for the 12.30pm kick off.
