Marcelo Bielsa would quit Leeds United if they sold their best players like Raphinha, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward insisted the Leeds manager would attempt to block any potential sale of the Brazilian winger.
Football Insider revealed in February that Liverpool were tracking Raphinha after his impressive start to life in the Premier League.
He recently told Brazilian outlet UOL Sport that he grew up watching Steven Gerrard and was in regular text contact with countryman Roberto Firmino.
Raphinha moved to Elland Road from Ligue 1 side Rennes on deadline day last October for a £17million fee.
The 24-year-old ended the season with six goals and nine assists in 30 Premier League games, including 26 starts.
Asked whether Leeds would allow the winger to leave if Liverpool stepped up their interest, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I can just tell Bielsa will not let any of his players go.
“Bielsa’s the sort of guy that if the Leeds hierarchy sold players he would leave. I just don’t see Bielsa allowing any of his players to leave.
“He will want to improve. He will want to improve on the league position from this season. I just can’t see him allowing any players to go. Even if they wanted to.”
Football Insider understands Leeds are also braced for “huge” offers for Diego Llorente, another 2020 signing.
After struggling with injuries at the beginning of the season, the defender emerged as a key player as the Whites ended the season with just one defeat in their final 11 games.
