Pundit issues ‘absolutley priceless’ Ben Davies claim after what he’s seen from Tottenham
Ben Davies is “absolutley priceless” to Tottenham and is in no danger of being sold in January.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the defender’s form.
Davies, 29, started on the left side of a back three as Wales drew 1-1 with the USA on Monday (21 November) and lost 2-0 to Iran on Friday (25 November).

The defender has been in sparkling form for Spurs this season, starting 11 of the club’s 14 Premier League games.
He has also scored two goals in his last three Premier League games but missed a glorious chance to register his second-ever Wales goal against the USA.
McAvennie insists Davies will be going nowhere in January,
“He’s a solid enough player but is he good enough for Tottenham?,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Antonio Conte starts him every week so there must be something there, He always looks good when I have seen him even if he isn’t getting man of the match every weekend.
“Can Tottenham do better? Maybe. The fans seem to love him and he is a cool, calm head who has been at the club for so long now.
“He will be an idol to the kids breaking into the team and he will help new players feel at hime. Having someone like that at the club is absolutely priceless.

“They need to on some players on in January but Davies won’t be one of them. He is so important.
“He’s having a decent World Cup too which is nice to see although I think he will be back with Tottenham pretty soon.”
