Pundit slams ‘diabolical’ Rangers as Malik Tillman deal offered – ‘should be sacked’

Frank McAvennie has slammed Rangers for allowing Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos to run down their contracts.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic striker also claimed the Gers won’t be able to sign Malik Tillman permanently in the summer, despite the option in his loan deal.

Tillman, 20, is currently on loan at Ibrox from Bayern Munich in a deal that expires in the summer.

Last month (21 February), sources told this site that the Light Blues have been told that they are free to sign the midfielder permanently in the coming months.

The option to buy included in his loan to Rangers is worth £6.2million and the Gers have been told they can reach an agreement for the midfielder before the end of the season.

Michael Beale’s side are currently set to lose both Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos for free at the end of the season when their current contracts expire.

Although both have been offered new deals by the Glasgow club, neither have accepted yet.

McAvennie has suggested the Gers are in trouble ahead of the summer window.

Rangers have not got the money to buy Tillman,” he told Football Insider.

Rangers

That is not going to happen. Whoever makes these decisions at Rangers should be sacked.

To let Kent’s and Morelos’ contracts run down is nothing short of diabolical. Why would you want to do that? I was sure they would have been out in January.

In other news, according to sources, Rangers decide to let £15,000-a-week star go as Filip Helander decision made.
