Pundit suggests Man City could win Jude Bellingham race after source’s ‘big’ claim – pundit

Alan Hutton has suggested a close relationship with Erling Haaland could be a draw for Jude Bellingham to join Man City.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender insisted the Bellingham will have his pick of clubs in the summer and said “the world is his oyster”.

On 1 October, sources told this site that Liverpool stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson have urged the 19-year-old to join them at Anfield next summer.

According to CBS Sports, reported in the Mirror (27 September), Haaland, 22, is also said to have told Bellingham to link up with him at City.

Huttons suggested Haaland’s request could convince Bellingham to move to Manchester.

Of course it will be a draw, he obviously knows him very well,” he told Football Insider.

But not just that, he knows a lot of the boys form the England international setup. So there will be a lot of boys in there that he already has relationships with. He knows England anyway from being brought up there so it is not a problem anyway.

I think he is outstanding, I think he is the next big thing. For the amount of games that he has shown at this young age, the world is his oyster, he can go anywhere.

All of the big teams will be after him. So it is really going to come down to can he maintain this level of performance, which I think he can. And then who does he want to go and play for because it could be anybody.
