Pundit tips Newcastle to shock Tottenham after 'unbelievable' reveal

Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Newcastle United to secure a shock win over Tottenham on Sunday.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed the “feel-good factor around Newcastle” will give them the edge over Spurs.

Midfielder and vice-captain Jonjo Shelvey told the Daily Mail (October 13) the Saudi-backed takeover is “unbelievable” for the club.

In contrast, the mood in the Tottenham dressing room is at the opposite end of the spectrum.

A Spurs source told Football Insider (October 12) senior stars are “unhappy” and “unimpressed” with Nuno Espirito Santo and his management methods.

Asked for his prediction for Sunday, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think Newcastle beat Spurs.

“The feel-good factor around Newcastle will spur them on and spur the players on.

“If I’m a player and my club has just been bought by the richest owner in the world then I’m going to be thinking ‘If I buck my ideas up, I might get a new contract with better wages and be able to stay around this Newcastle team’.

“Those Newcastle players are fighting for their Newcastle careers.

“It will be a positive day in Newcastle and I think they will beat Spurs.”

A win for Newcastle at St. James’ Park would represent a shock as Steve Bruce’s side are yet to win in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham have won four of their opening seven league games – including three 1-0 wins in their first three games of the campaign.

In other news, Newcastle United could “definitely” re-sign a Champions League winner after a major reveal.
